According to the EIA, in 2023 alone over 15 GW of electric generating capacity is expected to retire in the United States. These existing plant sites have value, and NextEra will provide an overview of several potential redevelopment options to make use of the significant existing assets and infrastructure of retiring power plants. Additionally, NextEra will review a case study on NextEra’s prior successful efforts to repurpose plant sites.
