At the conclusion of the educational sessions, participate in a tour of Xcel Energy’s Fort St. Vrain Generating Station (approximately a 35-minute drive from Tri-State G&T). Carpooling is encouraged, with a limited number of seats available in organizer vehicles.

This former nuclear power plant ceased operations in 1989 and was later repowered as a natural gas facility, reusing significant existing infrastructure. Today, it operates as the largest gas-fired generating station in Colorado. During the tour, participants will see a real-world example of asset repowering, life extension, and maximizing value from legacy generation assets.

This conference is designed for professionals responsible for the performance, reliability, maintenance, and management of existing power generation assets. It is especially relevant for those working directly with aging infrastructure and fleet operations. Typical attendees include plant managers, operations and maintenance leaders, asset managers, engineers, reliability specialists, and others involved in generation planning, compliance, upgrades, and life extension projects.
