Virtual Summit: Roadmap to Building New Gas Generation
Virtual Summit: Roadmap to Building New Gas Generation

From concept to commissioning, learn how electric utilities deliver new gas generation
March 31 - April 2, 2026 | 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. MDT each day | Virtual Summit via Microsoft Teams

Roadmap to New Gas Generation is a three-day collaborative virtual learning series designed for electric utility industry professionals navigating the complex journey of bringing new gas generation online.

Whether your organization is developing new gas generation for the first time, returning to it after many years, or looking to benchmark against peers, this series provides a practical, real-world view of how projects are being planned and executed today.

Across three focused, two-hour sessions, industry experts and utility practitioners will walk through the full project lifecycle — from early development through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Sessions emphasize current market realities, decision points, risk considerations, and lessons learned from those actively delivering projects. Participants will gain insight into:

  • Development fundamentals — market trends, siting, permitting, technology choices, investment planning, and early risk management
  • Design and procurement strategy — design phases, safety by design, constructability, procurement timing, commercial considerations, and supply chain challenges
  • Construction and commissioning execution — construction planning, workforce and oversight models, EPC and owner dynamics, cost control, safety, and the transition to operations

Structured for accessibility and flexible participation, this virtual series is designed to make engagement easy and inclusive while supporting meaningful collaboration, knowledge sharing, and candid discussion among professionals tackling similar challenges — including what’s working and what teams would do differently.

This is not just theory — it’s how utilities are building new gas generation right now.

Who Should Attend

This virtual summit is designed for utility professionals involved in planning, developing, delivering, or operating new gas generation projects — whether your team is new to gas or returning after years away. Relevant roles include generation and plant leaders, project managers, engineering and technical teams, resource planning and strategy staff, procurement and supply chain professionals, construction and commissioning leaders, environmental and regulatory teams, operations and maintenance staff, and executives overseeing generation investments. If you play a role in bringing gas generation online — from early planning through operations — this summit is for you.

Continuing Education Certificates

Upon completion of the conference, attendees will receive a continuing education certificate worth 5.0 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) in their online Alltricity Network profile. PDHs may be applied toward recertification credit.

Both individual and company-wide registration options are available!
