At LCRA, we are seeking for a driven leader to operate as a coal Power Plant Director. As a part of LCRA’s generation team, your expertise will contribute to safe, reliable operations of 1300 MW three-unit coal plant. This position provides oversight and direction for all operations and maintenance functions of the three operating units as well as the coal yard. This role requires strong leadership skills, and the ability to balance operation goals, overhaul plans, and long-term success. Our ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about coal power plants, maintenance practices, scheduling and overhauls. You will be trusted to:
- Maintain coal power plant operations, including fuel yard. - Provide leadership and direction in a large power generating facility. - Foster a safety-first culture across all levels which includes safe work practices - Provide maintenance guidance and overhaul strategic planning for optimization. - Demonstrate advanced strategic leadership to complexed projects.
You qualify with:
- Twelve or more years of experience in power plant operations, maintenance, engineering, planning, construction or other relevant experience, including five or more years experience preparing and managing budgets and supervising employees. - A degree(s) in power generation, engineering, business, science, math or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. - Driver's license

Salary Range: $178,500 - $218,200
Note: This pay range represents a general target and is not reflective of the full pay range. Offers to selected candidates are contingent upon various factors such as skills, experience and education.
